Scent Escentials began with the idea that a line of natural body care products should live up to its ideals, and should perform as advertised. Natural body care products should be pure, feature natural ingredients with proven healing power, and offer value to the conscientous customer. So with these lofty goals in mind, the founders of Scent Escentials began the development of products that moisturize, nourish, and protect the skin using proven healing ingredients gently harvested from nature.
Originally, Scent Escentials marketed its natural body care products directly to the consumer. As demand for our company's products grew (along with our reputation for quality), we began offering our products wholesale to retailers starting in 2004 . Today, Scent Escentials manufactures and distributes natural body care products to Natural Foods retailers, supermarkets, independent Pharmacies, Gift Shops, and Gourmet Foods stores located throughout the eastern and midwestern United States.
What's Behind Our Name?
We are often asked this question when we present in-store product demonstrations for our retailers. Customers want to know how we came up with the name "Scent Escentials", and what it means. To put it simply, our products are mildly scented (using therapeutic-grade natural essential oils) and feature ingredients that are rich in the nutrients essential for healthy skin. In other words, our line of natural body care products is intended for everyday moisturizing, and features aromatherapeutic benefits with each use.
Following the launch of our Scent Escentials Shea Butter Intensive Moisturizing Treatment in 2004, we began receiving e-mails from customers who asked us if we offered Unscented versions of our natural body care products. In early 2005 we launched several Unscented products, including our Aloe Vera E Stick (a highly versatile lip balm and first-aid remedy), Unscented Shea Butter Intensive Moisturizing Treatment, and Aloe Vera Wheatgerm Hydrating Cream. These products meet the skin-moisturizing needs of the customer who previously had few options when selecting an effective natural body care product that was truly unscented. Our Shea Butter Lip Balms were introduced in 2005, promptly developing a strong following due to the moisturizing power of our proprietary Shea Butter blend.
